Athletics

Athletics is another outstanding sport at Torrevieja. Included within the Sports City is the athletic track “Daniel Plaza”, which enables professionals as well as amateurs to prepare in their disciplines. The same is specifically designed for training and competition, including complete complementary facilities that enable the development of training programs at the highest level (gymnasium, pool, etc.). The facilities are adequate for performing all types of athletic modalities; shot put, hammer throwing, high jump, long jump, etc. Material available for training: hurdles, javelins, weights, discus, etc. Besides, the track is prepared and marked for all kinds of sporting events and competition modalities in track and field. Torrevieja has a nature reserve that makes it possible to train for other athletic sport events, such as cross-country racing, etc.
